The other day I got an email form Karen Lubieniecki. Karen is the President of the Laurel Historical Society. She was searching the internet for blogs on Laurel, Maryland and came across mine. Needless to say she was impressed.
Karen also apprised me of the Laurel Museum located at 817 Main Street in Laurel. The museum is located right next to the Laurel pool. Currently, the Laurel Museum has an exhibit titled Shake, Rattle-n-roll about Laurel Maryland in the 1950s. About this time a large influx of federal workers swelled Laurel’s growth. Just like BRAC today.
The Laurel Museum has lots of fun activities for both adults and children. You can get more information at Laurel MD history.
